It has been an awful and heartbreaking week for me, as my dog Westie,
Meiko passed away last Saturday at her age of three who died from liver
failure caused by food poisoning. The toxicity is so deadly high that
the survival rate seems to be devastatingly low.
We took Meiko and my three other dogs to the Wanchai park waterfront
near the SPCA on 1 st Jan. We went home after 1 hour of playing , she
started vomiting while we were i n the lift. She vomited a few times
afterwards, looked dull and lost appetite the next day, we immediately took
her to the Vet on 3rd Jan, but the Vet already noticed the problem
wasn't usual thus x-ray and blood test were being taken right away . The
blood profile shown serious hepatic damage in her and required immediate
dripping in hoping that the toxic can be flushed away, and the
non-damaged part of liver could be re-generated and functioned . Unfortunately,
she died from serious liver and other organs failure after 24 hours of
hospitalization.
We strongly believed that someone has deliberately put some poisoned
food of high toxicity in the Wanchai park to kill dogs. Please stay alert
if you walk your dogs in Wanchai Park (in fact in all other
places………….bad people are always around) and watch for any early symptoms.
Symptoms are vomiting, constipation, lost appetite; dark urine color;
skin and eyeballs will turn yellowish and twitching happen in the last
stage of illness.
As explained by the vet, the poison that Meiko has taken probably
wouldn't be the fertilizers used on the lawn, as the toxic is so high that
it can even kill a human being.
Please pass this on to other dog owners and call your vet if in doubt.

我以前晚晚都會帶d仔出去狗公園玩, 個衰仔mocha就最鐘意係地下拾嘢食, 真係諗起都一額汗
大家真係要小心d睇住自已d狗, 唔好俾佢地隨地拾嘢食呀作者:
