4)4-YR BLACK COCKER "SMOKEY"
Though not his own fault, Smokey has now been abandoned 3 times. We first got him from AFCD as a young dog, under 1 year old. He was quickly adopted but then given up after a year. He again quickly found a new home, but once again was abandoned. Both times it was the usual excuse of moving home despite the fact that we specifically ask all adopters: 'would you consider moving to a home that doesn't allow dogs?' 5)COCKER/SHIH TZU "TAYLOR"
This sweet little dog was dumped with us by someone who had been given the dog by a friend, who had herself been given the dog - and so on. A sad and common story of a dog being passed round like a toy that someone gets and then tires of.
